We're building the
AI workshop we wanted.
askFinz is independent and small. We started building it because the AI tools we wanted didn't exist — a single workshop where research, code, finance, news, data and the next dozen disciplines could share one set of hands.
We're obsessed with the difference between a clever demo and a tool you reach for every day. We make the second.
We started askFinz because the AI tools we wanted to use didn’t exist — so we built them.
The current generation of AI products feels like a single universal hammer. Every job — legal, medical, financial, creative — is treated the same. We don't buy that.
A craftsperson has a workshop. Different surfaces, different tools, the same hands. askFinz is that workshop, made for the way knowledge work is actually done.
We will keep choices in your hands. We will cite our sources. We will not pretend — and we will not lock you in.
Principles we hold ourselves to
04 of themWe measure ourselves against craft instruments — a great editor, a great scope, a great kitchen knife — not against demos.
Most work isn't a single question — it's a sequence. We design around the sequences our users already run, not around the chat box.
An API, an extension, a workflow builder. Lock-in is a tax on customers we will not collect.
Multiple frontier models with no usage caps via our extension. Cloud workspaces for the heavy lifting. We're cutting the price of serious AI.
Where your data lives
Global · EU-homedaskFinz is distributed by design. Pages are served from the nearest of 300+ edge cities so they feel local wherever you open them, while your files, code and backups are homed in European data centers. We describe each part of the stack by what it does and the city it runs from — and every location is independently audited against recognised security and privacy standards.
