askFinz acquires FinRock.ai to deepen its financial data and insight layer
askFinz has acquired FinRock.ai, the AI-driven investment research platform behind "Ask Finn", bringing its predictive market analytics, sentiment tracking and regulatory document analysis into the askFinz Finance workspace.

EINDHOVEN, Netherlands — 1 September 2026 — askFinz today announced it has acquired FinRock.ai, an AI-driven investment and wealth-creation platform, in a move that deepens the financial data and insight layer behind the askFinz Finance workspace. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
askFinz and FinRock.ai are both held by Paul V Holdings, and the transaction consolidates two companies already under common ownership. It is a combination of products and teams rather than an arm's-length purchase, and it is disclosed as such.
FinRock.ai applies machine learning to historical stock data to identify emerging trends and forecast potential price movements, and pairs that with real-time sentiment analysis of market news and regulatory filings. Its conversational assistant, "Ask Finn", answers financial questions directly rather than returning a list of documents to read.
The acquisition brings that capability alongside an index askFinz already holds and reads continuously — including its markets and filings collection, which currently holds around 405,000 filings, kept beside the earnings calls that explained them and growing by roughly 2.2% in the last 24 hours at the time of writing.
Why this acquisition
Financial questions are rarely answered by a single document. They are answered by a filing read next to the call that explained it, the sentiment around it, and the history that puts it in context. askFinz already holds the documents. FinRock.ai brings the models that read them predictively.
A filing tells you what a company reported. It does not tell you what changed, or what the market made of it. FinRock was built to answer that second question. We were already reading the filings — this puts the analysis and the source material in the same place, for the same person, at the same time.
Paul Varghese, founder of askFinz
The two products also share an unusual amount of ground. FinRock's assistant is called Ask Finn; askFinz has answered to the same name since it started. The overlap made the integration path short and the naming question straightforward.

FinRock by the numbers
Figures as published by FinRock.ai:
- 25+ global markets supported, across North America, Europe and Asia
- 100,000+ data points processed daily
- 50+ cryptocurrencies covered, including Bitcoin and Ethereum
- 10+ AI-powered features, from sentiment analysis to forecasting
FinRock.ai entered a closed alpha release ahead of the transaction, and that programme continues. Existing alpha participants keep their access, and their feedback now feeds directly into the Finance workspace roadmap.
What changes for askFinz users
FinRock's analytics are being folded into finance.askfinz.ai, the askFinz Finance workspace, rather than kept as a separate subscription. The intent is that a question asked in Finance draws on three things at once:
- The document, from the markets and filings collection — the filing itself, with its period and its filer attached rather than guessed.
- The explanation, from the earnings call filed beside it.
- The analysis, from FinRock's models — trend, sentiment and forecast.
Because askFinz holds the index rather than renting search results, the analysis runs against material already read and filed, rather than against whatever a per-call search returned that day.
"Most tools in this space rent someone else's search results and put a model on top," said Varghese. "We own the shelf. Adding FinRock means we own more of what happens after you take something off it."
Availability
FinRock capabilities are being introduced into the askFinz Finance workspace on a rolling basis. The Finance workspace is available on the askFinz platform; details are at askfinz.com/apps/finance and askfinz.com/pricing.
