Which browsers does it support?

Chrome, Edge and every other Chromium-based browser, plus Firefox and Safari. It is built on Manifest V3, the current extension platform. The on-device AI models need a browser that can reach your graphics processor, which Chromium browsers do today; everywhere else the extension answers with askFinz's cloud models and tells you so.

Do the models really run on my own machine?

On a device with a compatible graphics processor, yes — and what you ask them never leaves it. On a device without one, the extension uses askFinz's cloud models instead and tells you which answered. You can check your device in one tap before installing.

It works with the page you're actively on, when you ask it to. It needs browser permissions to do that, and it's bound to your account with a credential scoped to you alone.

Is it in the Chrome Web Store?

The listing is queued. While askFinz is in private access we send install links directly to people on the waitlist.

How is this different from using askFinz in a tab?

The extension is the side door — it's for working with whatever page you're already on. The full platform, with agent fleets, file editing and dashboards, lives in the workspaces.

Side panel · reads any page · 380+ models

askFinz, wherever you read.

A side panel that lives next to whatever you're reading. Read the page, ask questions of it, draft a reply, keep it for later — without ever leaving the tab. It brings 380+ models with it, and on the right machine they run without the page ever leaving your device.

What it does

Four real superpowers.

A second pane next to the page

Open askFinz alongside what you're reading. Ask questions of the page, summarise it, draft a reply — without losing your place or copying anything into another tab.

Keep any page

One keystroke files the page alongside the rest of your research, where askFinz can search it and cite it back to you later.

Memory that follows you

What you keep in the browser is there in Research the next morning. One memory across the workspaces, not a separate pile per tool.

Quietly private

Each install is bound to your account and carries the lightest credential it can, only for as long as it needs it. You can sign out from the panel at any time.

More models

380+ more AI models, built in.

The extension isn't only a window onto the cloud. It carries 380+ models of its own, ready to use beside the cloud ones, with nothing to set up past installing the extension.

380+ models included

A large library of models ships with the extension, sitting right alongside the cloud ones.

Matched to your machine

askFinz surfaces the ones that actually fit the hardware you have, so the choice is real rather than theoretical.

On your device where possible

With a compatible graphics processor they run locally, so what you ask stays on the machine. Without one, the same models run in the cloud.

Will they run on my machine?

One tap, nothing installed. These sit alongside the cloud models askFinz can call.

What it costs

One price. Nothing counted.

The extension and the desktop app are one subscription, separate from the cloud workspace plans. It is $8.19/month, and nothing you do inside it is metered.

Ask as much as you like

No token caps, no daily limits, no being timed out for using it too much. Heavy days cost the same as quiet ones.

All 380+ models included

Every model that ships with the extension is part of the same price. There is no upgrade tier holding the better ones back.

Bills the same every month

One flat charge, monthly or annual. Nothing to top up, and no surprise line at the end of a busy month.

Extension vs. workspaces

The extension is the side door.

It exists for the page you're already looking at — quick questions, quick captures, without breaking your reading. For agent fleets, file editing, dashboards and the rest of the platform, the workspaces are the front door.
