askFinz acquires BIMDash, bringing a cloud-based 3D model viewer to askFinz Estate

askFinz has acquired BIMDash, the cloud-based BIM model checker, and will integrate its 3D viewer into askFinz Estate — putting the model beside the listing and the planning record it belongs to.

EINDHOVEN, Netherlands

EINDHOVEN, Netherlands — 8 September 2026 — askFinz today announced it has acquired BIMDash, a cloud-based BIM model checker built to reduce rework and construction delays by checking models against local building codes and regulations. Its cloud-based 3D viewer will be integrated into askFinz Estate, the forthcoming real-estate listings workspace at estate.askfinz.ai. Terms were not disclosed.

askFinz and BIMDash are both held by Paul V Holdings; the transaction consolidates two projects already under common ownership and is disclosed as such.

A direct line from Verifi3D

BIMDash did not begin from a blank page. It began in Q3 2023, after founder Paul Varghese's tenure at Xinaps BV, where between 2017 and 2022 he contributed to the development of Verifi3D across four roles — BIM Quality Assurance & Quality Control Officer, Architect and Technical Integration Consultant, Product Manager and BIM Consultant.

Verifi3D was a cloud-based model-checking platform for the construction industry. Solibri, part of the Nemetschek Group, subsequently acquired Xinaps and Verifi3D, and Verifi3D's capability was integrated into Solibri CheckPoint. That work ran against the standards the industry actually files under — ISO 19650 and COBie — and alongside tooling from Autodesk, Procore and Power BI, with Verifi3D Exchange and plugins for Revit, and was presented at Autodesk University and Digital Construction Week.

BIMDash was the continuation of that thinking rather than a departure from it, described at the time as a platform where "BIM files serve as digital twins" that "update over time to reflect building changes and new regulations, making BIM a core component of construction project approvals."

The background is documented in Solibri Acquires Xinaps and Verifi3D: A Key Milestone in BIM on Paul V Holdings.

Why askFinz wanted it

askFinz already reads the property market. Its property and construction collection currently holds around 709,000 listings — read from agents, portals and public planning records — and grew by roughly 7.3% in the last 24 hours at the time of writing. Each listing is kept with the detail a decision actually turns on: price, availability, location, and the planning record associated with it.

What that collection has never had is the building itself.

We hold the listing, the price and the planning record. What we could not show you was the building. BIMDash was built to read models against the rules they have to satisfy. Putting its viewer next to a listing means the thing you are looking at and the record describing it are finally in the same place.

Paul Varghese, founder of askFinz

What BIMDash brings to askFinz Estate

From BIMDashWhat it does in Estate
Cloud-based 3D viewerA model opened in the browser, beside the listing rather than in a separate desktop tool
Model checking against building codesRules read against local codes and regulations, the problem BIMDash was built for
Digital-twin modelA model that updates as the building and the regulations change, rather than freezing at handover
Data validation and cloud integrationCarried over from Verifi3D's development — the discipline of trusting what is in the file

Status, stated plainly

askFinz Estate has not launched. It is listed as forthcoming on askfinz.com/apps, and estate.askfinz.ai is a placeholder today. Its first two planned capabilities are property listings and decision-grade detail views; the BIMDash viewer joins that roadmap rather than shipping ahead of it.

BIMDash was in intermittent development ahead of the transaction, with an alpha soft launch previously expected in Q1 2026. Under askFinz it is being folded into Estate rather than continued as a standalone product.

This release announces an acquisition and an intent. It does not announce a live feature, and no date is being given for one.

Availability

askFinz Estate will be announced when it ships. Progress is tracked at askfinz.com/apps/estate, and the underlying collection is already searchable at askfinz.com/collections/property-and-construction.

About BIMDash

BIMDash is a cloud-based BIM model checker begun in Q3 2023, aimed at reducing rework and construction delays by aligning models with local building codes and regulations, and at treating BIM files as digital twins that stay current as buildings and regulations change. It draws on its founder's work on Verifi3D at Xinaps BV, later acquired by Solibri (Nemetschek Group).
