The askFinz browser extension: AI wherever you browse

The askFinz AI browser extension puts a full AI side panel on any webpage — research, summarise, and act without leaving the tab you're already on.

Most AI tools make you leave what you're doing. You copy a block of text, switch tabs, paste it in, get an answer, then switch back. The askFinz browser extension skips all of that — the AI panel lives alongside the page you're already on, so you never lose your place.

The page you're reading becomes part of the conversation

When you open the side panel on an article, report, or document, the extension reads the page alongside you. Ask it to summarise, pull out the key figures, compare two claims, or explain a term — it answers in the context of what's in front of you. No pasting. No re-explaining what you were looking at.

This matters most when the thing you're reading is dense: a lengthy filing, a technical report, a long contract. The panel handles the scanning so you can focus on the decision.

Switch models without switching apps

The extension connects to the same models available in your full askFinz workspace. You can change the model from the panel without opening a separate tool or managing different accounts. The right model for the task — a fast one for a quick summary, a more thorough one for a complex document — is one click away.

It stays in sync with your workspace

Anything you want to keep — a summary, a key passage, a note you drafted — can go straight back into your askFinz workspace. When you return to the full app, your work is already there. The extension is not a separate tool that needs its own filing system; it's a reach-out from the workspace you already have.

What people use it for

  • Reading research and reports. Highlight the points that matter, ask follow-up questions, and save conclusions without retyping them.
  • Staying across news. Open an article, ask whether it changes anything for a topic you're already tracking, and get a grounded answer rather than a vague summary.
  • Drafting while you read. Start a reply, a briefing note, or a quick brief from within the page — the context is already there.
  • Checking claims. Ask the panel to identify what a piece of writing is asserting and whether it cites support. Useful for anything you're about to share or act on.

Less friction means more thinking

The friction of switching tools is not just time — it breaks the line of thought. Every time you leave the page to ask a question, you risk losing the detail that made the question worth asking. The side panel keeps you in flow: the question, the answer, and the page all share the same moment.

That is the design principle behind the extension, and behind the broader platform it connects to. For the fuller picture of how askFinz fits together across every surface, see one workspace instead of app-switching.
