Box is where the documents that matter legally end up: signed contracts, audit files, board material, anything with a retention policy attached. That is exactly the content people search worst, because the question is never "what is this file called" — it is "which of these agreements has the 90-day termination clause". The Box connector is part of askFinz Knowledge, which is still rolling out; here is what it will do, and what it will not.
Find a clause across every contract at once
Ask about a term and get the agreements that contain it, each named and linked, instead of opening thirty PDFs to check.
Ask what a document actually says
Answers quote the file and cite it, so a colleague can open the original and verify the wording rather than trusting a summary.
Keep folder permissions doing their job
Box's folder permissions are usually deliberate and often contractual. Connecting a folder does not widen who can see what is in it.

Authorise Box from Knowledge, as an admin for company-wide folders or as yourself for your own.

Pick the folders to include. Nothing outside them is requested.

Limits, honestly
- One-way and read-only. Box stays the system of record and keeps its retention rules.
- Answers reflect the last refresh, not the file uploaded a minute ago.
- Retention, legal holds and watermarks are enforced by Box and are not reproduced here.
- Scanned documents are read only where they already carry a text layer.
- Box Notes and Box Sign envelopes are out of scope for now.
- Custom metadata templates are read as values where present, but they are not used to enforce access; folder permissions do that.
