Six months later the document is findable and the conversation that explains it is not. The Teams connector is part of askFinz Knowledge, which is still rolling out; here is what it will do, and what it will not.
Put the conversation back next to the document
Ask about a project and get both: the channel thread where the approach was argued out, and the file it produced, each linked.
Find a channel post by what it was about
Channel search is keyword matching across a lot of noise. Matching by meaning finds the post that answers your question even when it shares none of your words.
Search meeting notes with everything else
Where your organisation keeps meeting notes and transcripts in a channel, those are searched alongside the posts and the files. In a large tenant that also answers a question people give up on: which team is this subject actually discussed in.

Limits, honestly
- One-way and read-only. Nothing is ever posted on your behalf.
- Private chats are out of scope entirely.
- Answers reflect the last refresh, not the message sent a minute ago.
- Meeting recordings are not transcribed; existing transcripts stored in a channel can be read.
- Files in a channel belong to SharePoint — connect that separately to search them.
