Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs all use of the askFinz platform, Browser Extension, Desktop Browser, APIs, and all associated services (collectively, the "Services") provided by askFinz, an entity under Paul V | Holdings. By accessing the Services you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to the Terms of Service. Violations may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account without refund.

1. Permitted Uses

The Services are designed for lawful, constructive use including:

  • Personal research, learning, and information discovery.
  • Professional and commercial research, analysis, and workflows.
  • Integration with your own products and services via the askFinz API, subject to applicable API terms.
  • Educational, journalistic, and non-commercial use that complies with applicable law.
  • Development and testing of applications using askFinz APIs, within rate limits and subject to prior written approval for high-volume use.

2. Prohibited Uses

You must not use the Services to:

2.1 Illegal Activity

  • Engage in, facilitate, or promote any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Process, store, or transmit data in violation of applicable privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and equivalents.
  • Violate intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or trade secret rights of any third party.

2.2 Harmful Content

  • Generate, distribute, or facilitate content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic (including CSAM under any circumstances), hateful, or harassing.
  • Create or spread misinformation, disinformation, or deepfakes intended to deceive or harm.
  • Facilitate violence, terrorism, human trafficking, or the exploitation of minors.

2.3 Platform Abuse

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code from any part of the Services.
  • Circumvent any authentication, rate limit, access control, or security measure.
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers (other than the authorised askFinz Extension) to access or index the Services at scale without prior written consent.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts, data, or systems.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Services without authorisation.
  • Use the Services to benchmark competing products and publish results without prior written consent from askFinz.

2.4 Infrastructure & Security Abuse

  • Launch denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks or any action that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
  • Introduce malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious code.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without written authorisation (see our Responsible Disclosure Policy for authorised disclosure).
  • Use the Services as part of a cryptocurrency mining operation.

2.5 Misrepresentation

  • Impersonate askFinz, Paul V | Holdings, or any other entity or person.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation to gain access to restricted features.
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or account suspensions.

3. AI-Specific Use Restrictions

When using askFinz AI features, you must not:

  • Attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract system prompts from AI models.
  • Use AI outputs to engage in or facilitate illegal activity.
  • Generate content that could be used to deceive, defraud, or harm other individuals.
  • Use AI outputs as a substitute for licensed professional advice (medical, legal, financial) without appropriate human oversight.

4. Enforcement

askFinz reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP and, in its sole discretion, take action including:

  • Issuing a warning.
  • Temporarily suspending access.
  • Permanently terminating your account without refund.
  • Reporting conduct to law enforcement or regulatory authorities where required by law.
  • Taking legal action to recover damages or seek injunctive relief.

5. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it to abuse@askfinz.ai. For security vulnerabilities, refer to our Responsible Disclosure Policy at askfinz.ai/legal/responsible-disclosure.

6. Changes to This Policy

askFinz may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
