This Disclaimer applies to all services, software, and content provided by askFinz, including the askFinz Search Platform, Browser Extension, Desktop Browser, and all related APIs and infrastructure. By using any askFinz product, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined in this Disclaimer.

1. General Disclaimer

The askFinz Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. askFinz expressly disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

2. No Professional Advice

The content and search results provided through askFinz are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to:

  • Financial Advice: Search results related to financial instruments, securities, or market data should not be interpreted as investment advice. Always consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
  • Legal Advice: Any legal content surfaced through askFinz does not constitute legal counsel. Consult a qualified attorney for legal matters.

3. Search Results & Content Accuracy

askFinz aggregates and indexes content from diverse sources across the web. While we employ AI-powered classification and quality filters, we cannot guarantee:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any search result or indexed content.
  • That search results are free from errors, bias, or outdated information.
  • That all relevant content has been captured during the indexing process.

Users are responsible for independently verifying any information obtained through the Services before relying on it for decision-making.

4. Browser Extension & Desktop Browser Disclaimer

The askFinz Browser Extension and Desktop Browser include background crawling and indexing capabilities. By using these tools, you acknowledge:

  • The extension may consume system resources (CPU, memory, network bandwidth) during indexing operations.
  • Background crawling respects robots.txt directives and rate limits, but may still be flagged by certain websites' anti-bot systems.
  • askFinz is not responsible for any consequences arising from the extension's interaction with third-party websites, including but not limited to account restrictions or IP blocks imposed by those sites.
  • The Desktop Browser operates within a controlled Chromium environment. While we maintain security best practices, no software is completely immune to vulnerabilities.

5. AI & Machine Learning Processing

askFinz utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning models for content classification, search ranking, and data enrichment. These models:

  • May produce inaccurate or biased results depending on training data and model limitations.
  • Are continuously improved but not infallible.
  • Should not be treated as authoritative sources of truth.

6. Third-Party Links & Content

The Services may display links to or content from third-party websites and services. askFinz:

  • Does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for any third-party content.
  • Is not liable for any damage or loss caused by reliance on third-party content.
  • Encourages users to review the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites they visit.

7. Service Availability

askFinz does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time without prior notice. Planned maintenance windows and uptime commitments are detailed in our Service Level Agreement.

8. Security Disclaimer

While askFinz implements industry-standard security measures including encryption, access controls, and regular security audits, we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of their account credentials.
  • Keeping their software (including the askFinz Browser and Extension) updated to the latest version.
  • Reporting any suspected security vulnerabilities to security@askfinz.ai.

In no event shall askFinz, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Services.
  • Any content obtained from the Services.
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless askFinz from any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Services in a manner inconsistent with these disclaimers.
