Refund Policy

This Refund Policy applies to all subscription plans and paid services offered by askFinz, an entity under Paul V | Holdings. By subscribing to any askFinz paid plan, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the terms of this Policy.
1. No-Refund Policy
All subscription fees paid to askFinz are non-refundable. This includes:
- Monthly and annual subscription fees.
- Any add-on, usage-based, or one-time charges.
- Fees charged during any free-trial-to-paid conversion.
- Partial periods arising from mid-cycle plan changes or cancellations.
2. Why We Do Not Offer Refunds
The moment a subscription is activated, askFinz incurs real costs to provide the Services. These include:
- Research & Development: Subscription revenue directly funds ongoing R&D across AI models, search technology, browser development, and new platform capabilities.
- Infrastructure: Cloud compute, storage, networking, GPU resources, and database infrastructure are provisioned immediately upon activation and continue to accrue costs for the billing period.
- Third-party services: Costs for AI APIs, data providers, CDN, security services, and other dependencies are incurred as soon as the service is made available to you.
- Operational overhead: Engineering, support, and operational teams are staffed and resourced in proportion to active subscription volume.
Because these costs are committed and consumed from the moment your subscription begins, we are unable to reverse charges after a billing cycle has started.
3. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings at account.askfinz.ai. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods.
- No refund will be issued for any unused portion of the current billing period.
- Your data and indexed content will remain accessible until the subscription end date, after which it may be subject to deletion per our Privacy Policy.
4. Free Trials
Where askFinz offers a free trial period, no charge is made until the trial converts to a paid subscription. You may cancel before the trial period ends to avoid any charge. Once the trial converts and a charge is processed, the no-refund policy applies.
5. Billing Errors
If you believe you have been charged in error — for example, charged twice for the same period, charged an incorrect amount, or charged after a confirmed cancellation — please contact billing@askfinz.ai within 14 days of the charge with details of the transaction. We will investigate and, where an error is confirmed, issue a correction or credit. This exception applies only to genuine billing errors, not to dissatisfaction with the Services.
6. Exceptions Required by Law
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction. Where law requires a refund right that cannot be contractually excluded (for example, certain rights under EU consumer law), those rights are not affected by this Policy.
7. Service Credits
In the event of significant service outages covered under our Service Level Agreement, eligible users may receive service credits (not cash refunds) applied to future billing as described in the SLA.
8. Plan Changes
If you upgrade your plan mid-cycle, the price difference is charged immediately on a pro-rated basis. If you downgrade mid-cycle, the change takes effect at the start of the next billing period; no credit or refund is issued for the current period.
